St. Patrick's Day is a time to celebrate, and not just for those of us who have a strong Irish heritage. Traditionally, these celebrations include the classic Irish dish of corned beef & cabbage, plus lots of beer. While we never turn away from a good glass of beer or a mouth-watering cocktail, alcohol doesn't always have to be the only choice!
With cold & flu season still raging on, and Covid-19 being a very real concern, we're doing everything we can to stay on top of our health. We've come up with a clever "mock"-tail that will get you in the celebrating spirit, and one that also gives you some great wellness benefits!
A traditional boilermaker consists of a pint of beer along with a shot of whiskey. How you drink it is up to you, but the point is to mix the two ingredients to make one unique drink. We've taken the concept and tweaked it a bit, having a refreshing Kombucha as our pint-glass ingredient, and Fire Cider as our power shot.
1 pint (16 oz) of Kombucha (we used a ginger flavor)
1 oz Fire Cider
1. Consume the two as you wish. Typical methods include drinking the shot and chasing with the glass, or dropping the shot into the full glass. Enjoy, and stay healthy!
