WHAT ARE FIRE CIDER TONICS?
Fire Cider is a spicy, sweet, and tangy apple cider vinegar (ACV) tonic. Our tonics, packed with 10+ beneficial superfoods, restore and invigorate the body.
What is Elderberry Tonic?
Elderberry tonic is a sweet & tart apple cider vinegar (ACV) tonic made with carefully curated ingredients for a distinctive fresh-food taste.
What is the 2-Day Cleanse?
Our 2-Day Cleanse is powered by some of our favorite superfood ingredients, including our powerful apple cider vinegar (ACV), to help you unlock the power of a healthy and happy gut! Mix oz of cleansing tonic with 10 oz of water or sparkling water 4 times/day for 2 days.
WHAT’S IN IT?
For all of our tonics, we begin with the base of certified organic raw, unfiltered apple cider vinegar (yes, it's got the "Mother"!). In Fire Cider, we add oranges, lemons, onions, ginger, horseradish, habanero pepper, black pepper, garlic, and turmeric. Our Wildflower Honey and African Bronze Honey Fire Ciders also have thoughtfully sourced honey for added sweetness! In Elderberry Tonic, we add elderberries, ginger, tulsi, cinnamon, clove, and honey. And finally, our 2-Day Cleanse contains ginger root, lemon, cayenne chili pepper, and honey.
WHAT IS THE “MOTHER”?
Our base of raw, unfiltered, non-pasteurized apple cider vinegar contains the “Mother”, strands of proteins, enzymes, and friendly bacteria that give the product its murky, cobweb-like appearance.
How do I consume your tonics?
Our tonics are not a ready-to-drink beverage; it’s a tonic, meant to be taken in small amounts or added to water, tea, or juice. It can even be used in other recipes! It is a great way to reap the benefits of drinking apple cider vinegar in one concentrated, potent package.
IS THERE ANY ALCOHOL IN YOUR TONICS?
Nope! While some people may confuse it with hard cider, our tonic is non-alcoholic. It does, however, mix well with cocktails (if that’s your jam), so check out our recipe archives for some signature cocktails!
ARE YOUR TONICS ORGANIC?
You betcha! All of our ingredients are organic, and our products have been Certified Organic by the USDA.
ARE YOUR PRODUCTS GLUTEN FREE?
None of the ingredients in our tonics contain gluten. If you’re extremely sensitive, however, be aware that while we make every batch of our tonics ourselves, we make it in a mixed-use facility, so we’re unable to include a gluten-free claim on our labels.
ARE YOUR TONICS VEGAN?
While our Original and African Bronze varieties are not, our Honey-Free Fire Cider is Vegan.
How do I know how much to drink?
Fire Cider and our Elderberry tonic aren't simply apple cider vinegar—they're a potent blend of vinegar and honey and a bunch of super-healthy vegetables, roots, and fruits. We like to drink ½ to 1 tablespoon straight up every day to keep us hale, hearty, and energized. But if you’re making a recipe for yourself or to share, feel free to be more generous in your pouring.
Is Apple Cider Vinegar tough on tooth enamel?
We drink a small amount of our tonics straight out of the shot glass; a rinse with or a chaser of water will help keep your pearly whites pearly. It’s worth mentioning that Fire Cider is less acidic than soda! You can also add it to tea, juice, water, or another favorite beverage.
HOW LONG WILL MY BOTTLE LAST?
Each batch of our tonics is best when consumed within 24 months from its bottling date. We put a best-by date on every bottle. If you need help deciphering it, we’re always here for you! Because ACV and honey are two of nature’s greatest preservatives, our tonics are shelf-stable and don’t need to be refrigerated (even after opening). We like to keep our bottles tightly capped in a cool, dry, easy-to-reach spot in the kitchen.

If you live in the U.S., please use our Store Locator to find a retailer near you. Residence outside the US can also purchase our tonics through our Amazon Store.

I GOT A DISCOUNT CODE, AWESOME! WHERE DO I ADD IT TO MY ORDER?
Once you've added items to your cart and proceed to check out you'll get to the "Customer Information" page. There you will see a "Gift Card or discount code" text box on the right-hand side of the screen. Enter your code here and click "Apply". If ordering on a mobile device click "Show order summary" at the top of the customer information page and the "Gift card or discount code" text box will appear.
CAN I SEND MY ORDER AS A GIFT?
Yes. At the bottom of your shopping cart screen, there is a box titled “Special instructions for seller”. If you would like to have your order sent as a gift, please include “This is a gift” in that box, along with any personalized message you would like sent to the recipient. Then be sure to enter the correct shipping address for your gift recipient! We will ship the order with a special packing slip that includes your message and omits all prices for the items sent.
HOW MUCH IS SHIPPING?
We are proud to offer free standard shipping on all orders shipped within the contiguous US. Rates for orders shipping to Alaska or Hawaii will be shown at checkout.
CAN YOU SHIP TO APO ADDRESSES?
At this time, we can't ship to APO addresses.
WHEN WILL MY ORDER SHIP?
Our warehouse is committed to shipping orders within 2 business days when the orders are received by 2 pm ET M-F. Orders received after 2 pm EST on Friday will be processed for shipment by the end of day the following Tuesday.
Processed orders are picked up from our warehouse at the end of each business day. Orders do not ship on weekends, FedEx observed holidays or occasionally, when the warehouse is impacted by severe weather.
HOW LONG WILL MY ORDER TAKE TO DELIVER?
Delivery times will vary depending on your chosen method of shipment, and when you place your order. Delivery times are calculated starting at the end of our business day, 2 pm ET M-F, and do not include weekends or holidays.
DO YOU OFFER USPS SHIPPING OPTIONS?
We do not offer USPS as a shipping option at this time.
WHY HASN’T MY ORDER SHIPPED?
There are a few reasons why your order may not have shipped. It may be on hold, due to an item in your order being unexpectedly out of stock, or due to an address discrepancy. In these cases our Customer Service Dept. will contact you to resolve the issue. If you placed your order after 2 PM, M-F, your order will be shipped within the next 2 business days.

DO YOU OFFER EXPEDITED SHIPPING OPTIONS?
We do! We have FedEx 2Day, Express Saver and Priority Overnight options.
DO YOU ACCEPT RETURNS?
We are unable to accept returns at this time.
THE WRONG ITEM(S) WERE IN MY PACKAGE!
Well, that's no fun! Occasionally an order may arrive with an incorrect item, but if it does please reach out to our Customer Service Department, customerservice@shirecityherbals.com within 72 hours of receiving your package, so we can arrange a replacement for you.
